Comments from our customers:
"It's always a pleasure to visit a gold award park. This park is in an ideal position and one we shall return to visit again. Well-run and well
thought out. It manages to be a site for families and older visitors alike and satisfies the needs of both."
"We have been visiting the Dower House for 9 years now, several times each year. It offers us peace, tranquillity, a beautiful
setting and close enough to home for a short break. The site has developed and become more popular but it has been well managed - trees, shrubs and
other plants have been added, chosen for the benefit of insects and birds, glass recycling has been introduced etc. A feature of the site is the long
road to it that is bumpy and slow. It makes the site safe for children and for animals. We have seen a huge range of insects - dragonflies, ladybirds,
beetles and spiders. We regularly see woodpecker. It is one of the most nature friendly sites we have been to."
"A dream location where wildlife and heritage live side by side in harmony".
"This is the first time I have stayed at a Gold award park and I am very impressed. It is great to see a campsite working with the
environment and blending in so well with its natural surroundings. This is a beautiful site and worthy of your Gold award. It is good to see recycling
available to."
"Whilst staying at this park we heard owls, seen deer close up, kestrels and a snake - silver with chevrons on its belly and a gold band around its neck
approx 3 feet long sunbathing. The forest is beautiful and the site is spotlessly clean at all times."
"This is the first time we have taken our children camping. The Dower House has offered them a beautiful, varied and
interesting place to enjoy our holiday. We even brought our family dog along and were given advice when we booked on walks that we could take her on. We
are enjoying the experience so much we will definitely bring them back in the future."
"Lovely natural site to visit."
